Who we are

We’re Maria & Joe—a married duo with one energetic dog, five opinionated cats, and a shared love of sci-fi, fantasy, and all things witchy, goth, and a little mysterious. Shadow & Shimmer Creations is our small studio where Maria designs and hand-finishes the pieces, and Joe runs the tech, website, and advertising (and sneaks in some 3D printing when the cats allow it).

• Maria — the maker & creative heart. A 25+ year Veterinary Technician, she has a steady hand, an eye for detail, and a soft spot for anything small and adorable. Her work leans into nature, folklore, and elegant dark aesthetics.
• Joe — the operations & systems brain. He works in IT leadership by day and keeps our tools humming, our listings tidy, and our shipping on schedule by night.

What we make

We craft witchy, gothic-inspired jewelry and decor—small-batch pieces with thoughtful details, often blending natural elements and clean, modern lines. Expect charms, pendants, trays, altar accents, and the occasional 3D-printed component that gets finished by hand in the studio.

How it’s made

• Small batch: We produce in limited runs so the quality stays high and the designs feel special.
• Hand-finished: Every piece is inspected, sanded, sealed, polished, or otherwise fussed over before it ships.
• Pet-aware studio: We keep a clean workspace, but our muses do include one dog and five cats.

• A little shadow, a little shimmer: We love balancing dark aesthetics with light, sparkle, and warmth.
• Thoughtful, not disposable: We prefer durable finishes and practical designs you’ll actually use and wear.
• Kindness to creatures: As lifelong animal people, we avoid materials that conflict with our values.

If you’re into witchcraft, pagan and nature-inspired motifs, goth elegance, and fantasy worlds, you’ll feel right at home. We also welcome folks who just like well-made, interesting things—no broom required.

Have an idea? We occasionally take on customizations (different chains, sizes, finishes, or minor design tweaks) when our schedule allows. Send a note and we’ll see what’s possible.

We’re a small home-based studio in Massachusetts, USA. We don’t have a public storefront—online only—so please reach out by email if you need anything.
