Refund & Returns Policy

At Shadow & Shimmer, each piece is handmade with care. Because our items are crafted in small batches and often one-of-a-kind, we offer a 7-day return/refund window with reasonable conditions to keep things fair for both you and us.

✅ Eligibility for Refunds & Returns

You may request a return or refund within 7 days of delivery if:

The item arrives damaged, defective, or not as described
You received the wrong item

To be eligible for a return for “change of mind,” the item must:

Be in unused, unworn, and original condition
Include all original packaging
Be shipped back by the customer at their expense

Important: Because items are handmade, slight variations, small bubbles, or minor imperfections in resin are normal and not considered defects.

🚫 Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns or offer refunds on:

Custom or personalized orders
Sale or clearance items
Items reported after the 7-day window
Items returned damaged due to improper packaging by the customer

📦 If Your Item Arrives Damaged

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the product and packaging so we can assess and help quickly.

Depending on the situation, we may offer one of the following:

A replacement of the same or similar item
A partial refund
A full refund

📬 Return Shipping

If the return is due to damage, defect, or our error → We cover return shipping or issue a replacement without needing a return.
If the return is due to change of mind → Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

💸 Refund Processing Time

Refunds are issued to the original payment method once:

The return is received and inspected, or
A damage claim is approved

Processing time may vary based on your payment provider, but refunds typically appear within 5–7 business days.

🔄 Exchanges

We do not offer traditional exchanges due to the handmade nature of our items, but if your item arrives damaged, we will replace it with the same or a similar item if available.
